Wednesday, June 07, 2006 ::: SMILE This is Lily Allen's first proper single release from her debut album 'Alright, Still'. And this is her previous video LDN. It's available in vinyl format. May I remind you again her album drops 16 July in the UK. I hope it's released here as well. She's too amazing you know. I love this movie so much. Not only it has a great cast - hats off to Joaquin Phoenix, he's such a great actor, sooooo talented, and of course Reese is still my favorite, she can sing like June Carter! Oh and their singing, their chemistry on stage, all so convincing that you can actually feel it. The great music, the story thats so sad, so tragic, yet hopeful... the wanting of something you can't have, while having something you don't really want, being on top of the world at times yet being most vulnerable at others, when hitting the charts at no.14 means the whole world at first but all the sex without love is emptiness, the longing for an approval that he can't have, and living in the shadows of his childhood feeling lonely and insecure and guity - and the music really gets you up.
